Dear A,

Maybe my musical journey parallels my spiritual journey and I just have to accept that I'm never going to get to where I want to be. That sounds a bit depressing but at this point it might be true. Then, in a complete different perspective I'm at the very beginning. Truth is so transient these days. It really just matters what perspective someone's looking at things from. And 9 times out of 10 we're all a little bit skewed anyways. But when you put all that into art, words, or music and transfer it there, you're actually able to open up a different reality for someone that may have previously not existed. That's what I want to do with my art, words and music. I want to either hold the door open for someone giving them hope, or, if the door was shut, open it altogether.

Dear A

It is getting so close to 2020. I've been watching the snow while trying to write out lyrics on my laptop. I can't believe Christmas is in less than a month. It's literally insane. In my mind there's such a beautiful dreariness to winter. This relationship with snow. A year ago I swore that I wouldn't be in Canada for another winter, but here I am. I think this is the first year that I haven't felt so depressed when the sun stopped shining.

This is also the first year I have my own place to call home rather than gypsy travelling from place to place. I think that actually wore me out more than I realized although I can't wait to get on the road again. I feel like pretty soon I'm going to be packing up all our things and putting them in storage (or Trev will because he's better at that than I am) I'll help of course. We need to be touring. I can feel it. That's the next step for us and our bandmates.

As a side note, the neighbours that live above us aren't exactly music being on the road is best for everyone haha!

And I also have to say I am beyond excited for MIX11 to finish these tracks for us.

Beyond excited.
